Continuous Ketone Monitoring

Ketone is a direct marker of fat metabolism. We're researching next-generation monitoring that combines vCGM infrastructure with a ketone prediction model — addressing both ketogenic dieters and Type 1 diabetes patients in one platform.

Why Ketone Matters

Ketones are a metabolic by-product of fat oxidation. They matter in two contexts.

  • Ketogenic diet — Confirms fat metabolism activity
  • Type 1 diabetes — Early signal of ketoacidosis (DKA)
  • Risk of diabetic ketoacidosis emergencies
  • Validation of low-carb diet results

R&D Approach

Leveraging vCGM's existing meal/exercise input infrastructure and 30-rep learning engine, we are validating a prediction model that combines breath, urine, and blood ketone data. Launch timing and certification scope will be determined by clinical validation results.
